Brodie is a late-identified Autistic and ADHD (AuDHDer) lived experienced Clinical Psychologist, and public speaker who has spent the past decade working in various areas of psychology. A decade ago, the journey of understanding their own neurodivergence began. This journey not only led to a formal diagnosis but also sparked the creation of connex relating in 2020.
Throughout these years, Brodie has used their knowledge and experience to assist many ADHD and Autistic individuals, guiding them towards realising their unique potential and strengths. Brodie has also mentored other allied health professionals assisting their growth and understanding of Neurodivergent Affirming Practice.
Brodie is involved in research on Autistic Burnout at the University of Western Australia as a lived experience consultant.
Brodie's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Applied Psychology in Clinical Psychology. both from Murdoch Univerisity. They have been registered with AHPRA and have been registered since 2012. (Reg No. PSY0001707473 )

At connex relating agency, our therapy is person-centered and strength-focused. This approach means that every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, taking into account their unique strengths and lived experiences. Our goal is not to "fix" or "change" the individual, but to help them embrace their neurodivergence and turn it into a source of resilience and personal power. This ethos is replicated in our training delivery to develop cross-neurotype understanding and foster inclusivity.
Brodie's professional experience spans across Disability Employment Services, Not for Profit, and Government services. They have worked with a wide variety of individuals, including adults and young people with ADHD and Autism, Brodie provides a neuroqueer, LGBTIQA+ inclusive environment.
connex relating has been ardently committed to working alongside individuals within the ADHD and Autism communities since 2020. At the heart of this endeavour lies a straightforward mission: to instill empowerment by providing knowledge and honing self-advocacy skills. It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany many on their unique paths, cultivating an environment of understanding, acceptance, and affirmation of their neurodivergent experiences. This work, viewed not just as a responsibility, but also an honour, encapsulates the ethos of neurodivergent affirmation that connex relating agency champions.
Brodie lends a distinct, personal perspective as a Co-vice chair of the Western Australian Autism Diagnosticians' Forum (WAADF). Brodie's own lived experiences provide an authentic, grounded understanding to the forum's important conversations.
